Digital sales are tracking to outpace physical sales for the first time this year. Music technology abounds. Every day there is a new service, a new way of doing things, and a new way to think about how music gets to and is experienced by the customer.
We recently enjoyed a show from Maquina Mono (in English: The Monkey Machine). Headed by Pablo Beracochea on vocals and guitar, this 6-piece band can really make you move. We captured a few moments to chat with Pablo about the musical project and we were intrigued in how the sound has evolved into what it is today.
Freak Owls is a great band founded by Josh Ricchio. We enjoyed their music recently at a ReverbNation industry showcase. Josh and his bandmate Cody captivated the audience with their unique sound which included vocals, guitar and violin. We had a few minutes to sit down with Josh and talk about his project.

Brian Mackey has a certain style to his music that appeals to the masses. Getting radio play from his song “Honest Love” and a complilation CD including the song “Sunshower”, Brian is breaking out. He recently released a music video and an iPhone app. This hard-working artist is gaining more recognition every day.

Built By Animals is a 3-piece band from Brooklyn, NY who have been rocking audiences since 2008. We recently experienced seeing the band live, whose music slowly builds until you have no choice but to move your body and get absorbed by their unique sound. We caught up with Nick, Morgan and Matt, as had they had some thoughts to share about Built By Animals.
Clarissa Cupero rocked audiences in New York before she darted off to Spain for several months. Immersing herself in the culture, she is due back to the states with some new Spanish language and/or influenced songs. We took a moment to catch up with her and discovered that this young artist is ready for the world!
After watching a multi-media show all inclusive of video images and a live creation of a painting before our eyes, we recently caught up with Kevin Peckham from Ghost Ghost. Kevin and his creative partner Karl Ward make up this band where they show their skills, each playing multiple instruments and creating an ambiance on stage.
